Junior Achievement of Central South Carolina and The State established the South Carolina Business Hall of Fame in 1985 to honor South Carolinians and business men and women in South Carolina who, through their accomplishments, serve as champions of free enterprise and role models in business for tomorrow's business leaders.
The 2008 South Carolina Business Hall of Fame, presented by BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, will honor three business leaders:
Robert E. Coleman, former chairman and CEO of Riegel Textile Corporation
Bennett A. Brown (1929-1997), former chairman and CEO of C&S/Sovran
Charles E. Fraser (1929-2002), visionary developer of Hilton Head
This black-tie event will be held at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on Thursday, May 22. South Carolina Bank and Trust and UCI Medical/Doctor's Care will sponsor the General Reception. For more information, contact Junior Achievement at (803) 252-1974.
